Large 5 1/2 Lb. Rogerley Mine green & blue fluorite specimen. This is a very large specimen, overall dimensions of the piece are 6 1/2" wide by 6" tall and 3 1/4" front to back, and is from my own collection. Largest crystal is just under 1", and there are several large crystals on this piece. The last photo is the back of the specimen, and has smaller, but still bright clear crystals.
The locality is the Rogerly Mine, Durham County, England. Fluorite from this locality is one of the most desirable in the world, with beautiful color, and strong UV fluorescence. All of the cubes have the identifiable photosensitive green cube to blue cornered cubes in the sunlight, or ultraviolet light. The fluorite from this locality fluoresces intensely under long and short wave UV light. I have set a reserve price on this, but the reserve is less than I paid for it originally, so it's a chance for you to pick up a very nice specimen to add to your collection at a good price. I will be selling several (some very large!), high quality specimens in the next few weeks, so add me to your watch lists if you are interested. Check my feedback on previous specimens I have sold, you won't be disappointed. Thanks for your interest. If you are interested in this specimen, I assume you are probably familiar with how bright these fluoresce under UV, but I have uploaded a couple of photos of this specimen under UV. My camera is not that great, and the UV light I used for these is very small, but should give you a good idea of the fluorescent properties. Hope this helps!
