This auction offers you the opportunity to bid on an excellent antique burl walnut library table desk that is just wonderful;. It is a very large library table with three large drawers. The table top is a gorgeous tiger stripe like burl walnut that is huge. It could be used as a banquet table. It stands on lovely ball turned legs with x- framed stretchers and a fancy carved apron under the table top. It is masterfully constructed with tight dove tail joinery on the 3 large drawers. It looks to date to around the turn of the century. It is a very heavy library table made with thick walnut and mahogany woods weighing well over 200 lbs. Some normal scuffs and dings from use but overall condition is very good. It retains the original naturally aged patina on the wood. This large library table has a very distinctive presentation and will clean up real well. It stands 29.75" high and is 66.25" 29.5" in depth from front to back. It will be selling with an opening bid of $5 as do almost all of our auctions, with no reserve price set. Any bid can win! Sometimes, wood type is hard to identify with certainty on old pieces because of old finishes etc.. We try to describe to the best of our knowledge and ability, We are well experienced, but not experts in identifying wood species, and may or may not be correct in identifying actual wood species on some items.Please be sure to ask questions if you are uncertain about something.
