Large Antique Copper & Iron Hand Wrought Ladle for Hearth Pots Description Copper Ladle For Hearth Pot This is a very large copper and iron hand wrought ladle made for a very large hearth pot. The ladle is 19 1/2" in length and made of iron with a curved end on the handle for hanging on the pot, the copper bowl is 5 1/2" in diameter and about 1 1/2" deep. I love the way the handle attaches to the bowl. Not only is it riveted when the two join but again in the center of the bowl. I can only imagine that that provided additional strength. I have not tried to clean the piece in any way because I love the original patina. It is in good condition.
