Large Antique Cranberry Nailsea Glass Wedding Bell w/ Clear Twist Handle A/F HUGE Nailsea Wedding Bell Welcome to Dorothy Dale's Attic, presenting unique and unusual vintage, antique and collectable items. I have many lovely and unusual items in my eBay store, and I will combine shipping whenever possible to save you money. Lovely piece of Victorian art glass, these were popular as wedding gifts in the 19th Century. It has some damage but is still a very rare and beautiful example of the glassmaking arts, so I am starting it at 99p with no reserve. It measures 14" high and 6-1/8" across the bottom opening. The bell is cranberry glass with an opalescent milk glass lower rim, which has a chip as pictured. The handle is set into the base with plaster of paris, and there is no clapper present. The handle is a lovely clear swirl with much detail, but I believe it is missing a bit off the top, have a look at the photos and decide - the top is smooth, but it is rough around the edges.
