The largest outside diameter is 146mm or 5 3/4". The depth is 86mm or 3 3/8", making it about the same size as a standard Smith's ship's clock. It weighs just under 3kgs, it's heavier than it looks. The dial reads "8 Days Harry Emanuel London" & apart from that I can see no other names or numbers. The spring loaded winding cover rotates to allow a key in (I do not have a key)& reads "Wind up with the left hand once a week" in engraved script. The major problem is the broken balance staff. I've done a bit of reading & will describe it as best I can:- it has an eight day fusee movement with stop-work & maintaining power. The escapement shown in the last two pictures is an Earnshaw type which supplies constant force via a sprung lever. It has a helical balance spring & a diamond end-stone. I googled "Harry Emanuel" & he was a top London jeweller who famously exhibited a silver mechanical swan at the Paris Exhibition of 1861.
