You are bidding on a very large antique pitcher & wash basin that I believe is made by Cauldon Place, England. The bottom of the basin has stamped into it Cauldon Place, England and the number 19 is stamped under that. I have looked at this through a magnifying glass because it is very hard to read. The pitcher also has been stamped but it is even harder to read. The basin is 15 1/4 inches wide and painted in gold trim. It is quite heavy. The pitcher is 11 1/2 inches high at the spout. It is approximately 9 inches wide including the handle. It is also trimmed in gold. T are not any chips but t is some crazing in the pitcher from age but not in the basin. My mother purchased this set in the early 1970's from an antique store. That is the only history I know about the set. I'm sorry that my camera could not pick up the stamp on the bottom of the basin any better but as I said, it is hard to read with a magnifying glass, much less a camera. The words PLACE & ENGLAND ARE VERY READABLE. The CAULDON is what is hard to read. Please feel free to ask any questions. I have described this to the best of my ability.
