This is a large antique tapestry depicting a music scene from the French Court. The tapestry measures 34” x 53”, which for most rooms is a really perfect size to display. It is thought to date from the late Nineteenth Century, and has “Made in France” woven on the back. This tapestry originally came from an estate, and has been in our family and carefully stored for the last fifty years. It appears to have never been hung, and is, therefore, in excellent condition with no stains, uneven fading, deterioration or any imperfections that I can find. The colors are surprisingly bright considering it’s age and the fact that it has never been cleaned, but it would probably benefit from a professional cleaning to brighten it up some more. This is a really beautiful and authentic antique tapestry in near perfect condition, and would be ideal for anyone with a love for classical music and/or antique French décor. I will accept return of this item within the first seven days of receipt if you are not fully satisfied.
