This wonderful museum quality piece came from a prestigious estate in West Palm Beach, FL near Burt Reynolds home. The piece was given to Ms. G.M. Stacey; who was a lead dancer with the world famous French Blue Bell troupe, by one of her suitors who bestowed lavish gifts on her. It was bought from an upscale antiques shop and will continue to go up in value for years to come and make a wonderful investment as well as something to cherish for years to come. It would fit into any opulent home or office. The Back stamp on this piece reads Yong Tong and the piece is believed to have been made during emperor Yongle's rein; who was the the third emperor of the Ming Dynasty. This Dynasty of rulers in China commissioned an official kiln called the Jingdezhen Kiln which was located in the Forbidden City, Beijing. It is known that emperor Yongle would produce this color and type of blue and white porcelain. A notable oriental collector has told me that the piece is probably from the 1500s but that it was stamped or re-produced in the 1800s. It would have been used as a vegetable bowl at the time and today is a decorative oriental bowl.
