I found this at an estate sale, really it was an estate sale from an old 1800s mansion in the gold country w we live. T is a small brass plaque on the front that says "Pacific Lamp Mf. San Francisco" It stands 28" tall, and is 13 1/2" on each side. Three sides are glass, which is the old original, but one side is cracked in two. The cracked glass fits into the frame O.K. and could be left t with no problem. One of my pictures shows the inside of the lantern. The round hole on the bottom is to hold the lantern itself. The kind of lantern with a reflector mounted on the backside is what fits. I do not have the lantern. Above the brass plaque the black words " No. 3 Tubular Lamp" are painted on. This is a great outside lamp to put a giant candle in, or find a lamp that fits, they are available. T is a large round loop at the top for hanging the lamp, its not showing up in the pictures. The body has su rface rust all around from being stored in a shed for all of these years. I would estimate judging from the age of the other items that w at this sale that the lamp is around the early 1900s. The mansion belonged to a state senator during the early 1900s. The weight is approximatel 15 pounds plus another 5 pounds of packaging. We charge only what the post office mail cost is, and no charge for packaging materials or so called "handling ". The lantern will be shipped from zip code 95370.
