Your way comes a series of Penny starter auctions all fresh from local estate, silver, porcelain and glass galore & other collectibles, please see my other items . Here we offer another great Penny starting piece, an antique English or Dutch Porcelain MONKEY PITCHER. It is either Delft or Staffordshire. It features a monkey with a hat, eating a banana. Hat on the top has a large opening to put the liquid in, while the banana he is holding has another hole which is the spout. Bottom is glazed, not marked, but either way a great piece, top quality made (very impressive). Rim of the base used to have felt glued to it, remnants are still there (see the photos). Condition is good no breaks, no repairs, just to note that the white spot on the handle is not a damage, it is under glaze (see the photos). Piece stands 7.75" tall, 5" wide and 3.125 " deep. This is a decorative gem, for 1 Penny to start, surely a must for any collection! Please note: photos are the second part of the description, equally important as the written description. Please examine all photos in detail, they are the description. Thank you for visiting York Antiques Mamaroneck NY and good luck bidding! Please see my other items and add me to your favorites list .
