LARGE Antique Vtg HM French NORMANDY LACE Pillow Cover Description Large vintage French Normandy lace boudoir pillow cover in cream... Of grandeur proportions, this ornate pillow cover features whitework embroidery, and a medley of laces, including French Valenciennes bobbbin laces, needlelace medallions, and embroidered net lace. The backside is fashioned of sheer cotton, with closure via 4 tiny mother-of-pearl buttons, which are not uniform in size. Finished off with 1&3/4in wide scalloped Valenciennes lace. Personally-speaking, this French Normandy lace pillow cover is fabulous based on the combination of its larger proportions and unified design layout & theme... Oval shape, and measures ~20&1/2inX28in. Unlaundered, soft, supple, and in overall fair-good condition, with mild age discoloration with occasional very light spots, fraying (mostly around the button holes and a few of the medallions as shown in the photos), and an occasional broken bride. The backside cotton has a few miniscule pinprick breaks which cannot be appreciated in the photos. Otherwise, no other issues noted. Please enlarge photos for details.
