3 Large Antique WASHBOARDS, Cobalt Enamel, BEST MADE Glass & RID-JID Metal Description 3 ANTIQUE WASHBOARDS Fun set of three large antique washboards including a cobalt blue ribbed enamel and wood board measuring 28" tall by 13" wide; a BEST-MADE heavy ribbed opaque glass and wood board measuring 24" tall by 12-1/2" wide; and a RID-JID, Manufactured by J.R. CLARK CO., Minneapolis, Minn, U.S.A. board measuring 23" tall by 11-1/2" wide. These have been hanging on my laundry room wall for years - makes for a great "washroom" decor - a humorous reminder of why I never complain about doing laundry when that was the original alternative! Condition is good with no major damage - no wood splits, glass cracks or chips, etc. - all three pieces show lots of usage and age related wear - glass and enamel show white residue from lye soap and metal had a decorative gold finish which has been worn down from use - does not detract a bit. All three have a top board that extends a bit past the board, so it is easy to just plop them on a nail for hanging. Think they would be a fun addition to any home or laundry room display!
