This is a large specimen of Aquamarine (Var. Beryl—Beryllium Aluminum Silicate). It is comprised of a large section of, what was likely, an even larger hexagonal prismatic crystal of non-gemmy, specimen quality, Aquamarine. The specimen is primarily opaque but some portions are translucent. The translucent portions also boast the best color with an aquamarine-blue hue, while the remainder of this large piece is light blue-gray, to off-white. The specimen is somewhat rough but it clearly exhibits the prismatic hexagonal form of Beryl/Aquamarine. This specimen measures 3.9 inches by 3.5 inches by 2.5 inches. It weighs 1 pound 8.7 ounces, or 700 grams. This big Aquamarine crystal specimen is from Minas Gerais, Brazil . I combine shipping with other purchases or auction wins.
