A super solid silver and enamel Art Deco butterfly brooch made by Thomas Lynton Mott of the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham. This beautiful brooch is enamelled in a bright shade of golden yellow with burnt orange enamel on the edges of the wings with fine detail visible under the enamel. The body is enamelled in black. All of the enamel is in excellent condition with no repairs, scratches or damage. There is light reflection in the photos especially in the middle - not damage to the enamel. It is fully hall-marked for sterling silver on the back, date letter u for 1919 plus the maker's mark TLM. This very wide brooch measures 8.5 cms / 3.4 ins across and 3.5 cms / 1.5 ins deep. Usual c clasp and pin fitting on the back. This is an original butterfly brooch and not a copy / reproduction. A great size and unusual wide shape so will appeal to collectors as well as make a wonderful gift. Low start price and no reserve for this quality item which will be very well packaged and supplied in a free gift box.
