is a vintage Japan made ceramic Basset Hound dog. He is almost 10" high! I found him in an antique store. He looks like a very old figurine. The soulful face is just wonderful. He is a poor hungry Basset Hound, he is thin, and is begging you to adopt him and take good care of him! Excellent condition, with no chips, breaks or repairs, just the usual old time Japan factory flaws, like a little sloppy paint spots and t, very tiny, and a few rough areas on the finish, that are not chips or anything. Very minor. I can't believe it is in such great shape, as it is probably from the 1950's or 60's. Glossy tri color eyes, matte finish body. Nice brown and black shading. Stands well. if you collect Bassets, this is a must have! A really special old figurine, in such a darling pose.
