RARE NEGRO CHALK or PLASTER FIGURE with trinket/sweet bowl POSSIBLY A FAIRGROUND PIECE Hi and welcome to my auction for this rare piece of Americana. It is a large chalk or plaster figure of a black man/negro sat down holding a bowl The piece measures approx :- 240mm high ( 9.5" ) X 160mm wide ( 7" ) and the bowl has a diameter of about 4.5" This piece has an old repair on his arm ( please see photo ) but in no way detracts from this striking looking item. Great patina and very detailed - would make a fantastic display piece for any collector of Americana or Fairground memorabilia.
