This vintage large blade barbers type of straight razor was made by George Wostenholm & Sons Washington Works and is a Celebrated IXL Razor. This razor was put up with a nice layer of wax and is in excellent original condition and has never been polished out or restored. There are some very slight imperfections like a couple of tiny nips to the natural handle and some light rust spots, all of these can be seen in the images and none are bad. The actual blade and razor edge are near perfect and Sharp. A quick test will remove a swath of arm hair with absolutely no pull. The blade is one of the larger ones I have seen and measures a full 15/16 inches wide. The blade area is 3 inches long and from tip of the horn to the end of the blade is 5 7/8 inches. Metric is 23 mm wide, 77 mm blade length and full length 147 mm. The original box is included and is worn but most of it is still intact. Photos should be a good description. I consider the photographs to be transferred to the purchaser for their use. International buyers are fully responsible for their customs duties, etc. I try to ship as soon as possible after receiving clear payment. I also try to have more than one item to ship before going to the Post Office. I cannot always go to the Post Office the next day but will always do my best to do so within 2-3 days after payment..
