Large Cenedese Murano Sommerso Glass Zebrati Bowl/Ashtray, C.1970s Large Cenedese Murano Sommerso Glass Zebrati Bowl/Ashtray, C.1970s This is a supremely beautiful & elegant piece of mid-twentieth century Italian Art Glass from Murano, designed by Antonio Da Ros for the high-class glass workshop of Cenedese. It is a near-spherical dish, bowl, or ashtray, made in the 1970s, with a body of clear glass laid with looping yellow latticino strips (the style is known as 'Zebrati'). It sits at an angle, and there is a small notch to the rim for a cigarette to rest. Although unmarked, this is a well-known design by this maker.
