The Comprehensive Family Bible with Handwritten Family History by David Davidson Language: English Year: 1854 Pages: 1040 . This large Bible weighs 7kgs and comes in it's original leather bindings which are severely worn. The front board is virtually detached held only by 2 cords, and the rear board is cracked along the outer hinge joint and securely held by 4 cords. Both boards are scraped, rubbed, chipped and have stains There is wear on all the edges including the four corners which are very worn. The spine is severely worn with the complete backstrip missing. There is a handwritten family register in contemporary hand on the front end-paper. The end-papers through to the frontispiece are barely attached and could come detached in transit. The pages are toned on the edges and have light scattered browning and handling marks. The plates have browning and handling marks. Few pages are dog-eared and one page is creased. The Bible is complete with 1040 pages. Lots of pictures to look at below.
