Large Crown Stag Handled Custom Dagger Knife! Well Made

Offered for your consideration is a beautiful vintage custom crown stag dagger. This piece is very nicely made and super solid. The dagger was crafted using a high-quality Italian blade. The blade is very thick and double-edged. The grind is excellent and the blade features a very pronounced median ridge. Though marked "Italy", the blade has the appearance of a custom blade rather than a factory blade. The blade appears to have been hand polished. The guard is of thick brass that was nicely shaped. This too has the appearance of being hand shaped rather than being an "off-the-shelf" guard. The handle is a massive chunk of gorgeous crown stag. The exposed "stem" was covered with some type of old copper coin that I cannot identify other than to say that it's not a U.S. coin. The stag is free of any cracks or chips and really fills the hand nicely. The dagger is well balanced and has a great feel. When placed in the palm on its side, the dagger will right itself indicating a proper handle balance. The dagger shows no signs of being used or sharpened. The blade is 7-3/4" and the dagger measures 13-3/8" in overall length. The sheath is the original and appears to have been custom made for this dagger. It's in excellent condition with just just some storage wear and no problems. A unique and interesting custom dagger!!
