LARGE DAVID MANN "GHOST RIDER" VELVET TAPESTRY
LARGE DAVID MANN "GHOST RIDER" VELVET TAPESTRY
Sold For:
This auction is for a very rare "Ghost Rider" velvet tapestry. This is a great rendition of David Mann's famous painting first published as an Easyrider centerspread in November of 1983. A Mann classic, it shows his gift of capturing "the very essence of choppers at the time." Also known as Motorcycle, Mann is considered the Norman Rockwell of the biker world. Easyrider magazine continues to showcase his art to this day. His works have become quite collectible since his death in 2004. This piece is in excellent condition. Quite large, it measures approximately 59 inches in width and is approximately 39 inches in length. 100% cotton, it is more of a thin velveteen, and U.S. made. As is noticable in the photograph, it could use a good pressing. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding this Mann collectible.
