YOU ARE BIDDING ON AN SPECTACULAR BIRD BY PETER ANIQMIUQ FROM AN INUIT COMMUNITY KIMMIRUT
THIS STUNNING PIECE COMES WITH AN IGLOO TAG (CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY). IN AN ART GALLERY THIS CARVING WOULD BE VALUED AT OVER $1000. This sculpture is large and measures 8.5 inches long , about 4.75 inches tall & 5 inches wide. The carving is completely perfect. T are no inclinations or any other imperfections! The sculpture is signed by the artist Peter Aniqmiuq (from Kimirut, Nunavut). Notable features of this beautiful sculpture is its glossy finish. This is the common style for carvers in Kimmirut. The stone is much much harder, thus takes on a much more shiny appearance. Another notable feature are the etchings along the wings and head. This is great detail put into the bird to give it a more realistic look.It is extremely radiant and is sure to catch the eyes of your guests. The proportions, the subject, and smooth polish and finish are all without a doubt - perfect! The carving techniques used was done with very close attention to detail and care, as the curves and edges are extremely smooth and crisp. This gives the Eagle so much depth and body. It is very unique, which is one of my major criteria when choosing pieces. This is what caught my eye when acquiring this tastefully done piece, and will most certainly do the same for you. ** We are always happy to combine shipping, second carving is shipped for free if combined**
