This is an auction for the unused, vintage large Toledo Clasp folding knife in the photos. The workmanship on this knife is exquisite! I have had this knife in a frame on my wall for years. It is still in the wonderful condition that I received it in years ago. I bought this knife from an antique dealer in Beverly Hills, California. The knife is 8 inches (20.3 c.m.) closed. It is 14 1/2 inches (36.8 c.m.) opened. The blade is 6 3/8 inches (16.1 c.m.). The handles are stag, or bone made to look like stag. No chips or cracks. The fancy bolsters, liners, pins, lock realease, and back strap appear to be steel. The back strap and lock release are beautifully embossed with a fancy design. The large blade appears unused and is sharp. It is embossed on both sides with scenes of a huntress, with hounds, shooting an arrow at a buck. Beautiful detail! The front is also embossed with the word; TOLEDO. The blade is in wonderful condition with just a little bit of very minor tarnish in a few spots. The blade is tight and opens with a clacking or ratcheting sound. It locks solidly into the open position. The lock release mechinism releases the blade properly. There is no snap when closing the blade, due to the construction of this knife. Large, solid, beautiful, heavy folding knife! I am not sure of the age of this knife. PLEASE!!!
