Hertwig & Co. German Bisque Piano Baby! is a wonderful Large and RARE German Bisque Hertwig & Co. Piano Baby! Hertwig & Co. is best known for their half dolls and bathing beauties. This gem of a figurine is rare since they didn't make many piano babies and to find one in excellent condition of this size from this Company is quite a rare find! This piece can be found in the book Hertwig & Co. Archives, 1890-1937 by Florence Theriault. This little girl is just SUPERB! T is no other way to describe her. She measures approx. 12 to 13" long from foot to head and approx. 7" from hand to hand and approx. 7 1/2" tall up to hand raised. What a find! The coloring is so realistic. She has blonde curly hair and wearing a pink ribbon. Blue intaglio eyes, rosy cheeks, dimples and showing little teeth. The detail is exquisite. Take a look at the pictures. See the finger and toe nails - but don't overlook the little tummy under her nighty reflecting a belly button indent. Take a look at the creases in the hands, the crease around the ankle, and the forms of the arms and legs. It makes you want to just squeeze this little one. Just amazingly realistic! She is in the best condition I have ever seen any piano baby - very, very clean! Hope you enjoy this one as much as I do! Out of all the antique german bisque piano babies I have listed and own- this one is the one that is the hardest to let go of. Thank you for looking and make it a great day!!
