Be sure to have a look at our other items !I had hoped to eventually find time to do whatever is needed on this clock but I simply do not have the time these days; wish I did. This is a spectacular clock and absolutely gorgeous on display! It does work and cuckoos well too for hours on end but eventually stops; not sure why but it's well worth it to have it repaired, repair it yourself, or leave it the way it is...it is a breathtaking clock! It appears to be lightly used and beautifully carved. This is an 8 day hunter cuckoo clock that was created in the Black Forest about 40 years ago in what was then, "West Germany" by Emil Schmeckenbecher, one of the finest clock makers in this region of the world! The Schmeckenbecher name does not appear on the movement but this is one of Emil's clocks; no doubt about it. It is a very large clock measuring about 24" high (from the tip of the antlers to the bottom of the game bag, not counting the weights or pendulum), about 9" at its deepest point, and about 17" across the top.
