This is a beautiful large German cuckoo clock. The bird does cuckoo and the chains for the clock mechanism are in place and work.I do not know if the timing to the ticking works absolutely correctly or if the pendulum swings as it should, but they do work. The adorableband members do move and play. One of the little windows does need to be fixed, glued, or possibly replaced; a bird of ours decided that the cuckoo clock would be a perfect place as well to live in as a house, but he couldn't get through the door or window. Also, there are a few other items on the front that need to be fixed around the balcony that the band performs on, on the side there is a man that rings a bell; both the bell on top of this large cuckoo clock and the man ringing the bell need to be fixed. I guess the man put his arm out of joint from ringing the bell and pulled it too hard that the bell tower needs some gluing. This is a beautiful old cuckoo clock, and it needs the right person to appreciate it and can give it TLC. Through the years I have enjoyed purchasing cuckoo clocks that need repairing and having the joy of getting them fixed to bring them back to life. This is a good project for someone else this time. These handmade German clocks have such a lovely old world charm and when they cuckoo and play music they bring such happiness to any room. read more
