Over the next two weeks, I will be listing about 40 pieces of high quality estate silver. Tiffany, Kirk, Gorham, Wallace, Reed and Barton, Th. Starr, Mappin & Webb, Dominick & Haff, Whiting and several other pieces of European origin. This is some of the best sterling silver that I have ever seen. Big, intricate, and rare pieces included. Be sure to check out my other auctions. All are starting at .99 with no reserve. If you need an unforgettable Christmas gift, look no further. 1. Gorham Centerpiece Bowl. Measures 13.5 inches long, 11.25 inches wide and about 3.5 to 4 inches tall (depending on w you measure). Very ornate and detailed. Monogrammed in one of the shields, LTS, fancy script. Interior rim features shields, flowers, urns, leaves, etc. Foot features a border of oak leaves with acorns. Marked on the base: GORHAM, (hallmarks), STERLING, A12709, (airplane, which is date stamp for 1927). Very good estate condition, interior has use scratches and 3 or 4 pinpoint size minor pings, and a .5 inch very light indention. This piece has not been professionally polished or dipped. I lightly cleaned it with silver polish. This is an exceptional bowl. This is a Paypal only auction. If you can't pay with Paypal, please email me. I have weighed this piece on my Pittney Bowes digital postal scale. It weighs 2 lb., 3.4 oz. These scales are 100% accurate to the best of my knowledge. To avoid dissappointment, please do not wait until the last few seconds to bid. This item along with my other silver, all have many, many watchers, which means last minute "sniping". Sometimes ebay gets "clogged up" in those last few seconds if multiple people try to bid. Use the proxy bid system, enter the amount you are willing to pay, and ebay will bid on your behalf, up to your maximum bid. Good luck bidding.
