This auction is for a vintage solid wood Empire style floor lamp. I am fairly sure the wood is mahogany, but I'm not positive. Newly wired, the lamp features a double-bulb brass fixture, controlled by a single pull chain. T is also a separate control on the power cord. I see no identifying marks on this lamp, so I don't know who made it or when. I am guessing it is from the early 1900's. Weighing in at just under 13 lbs, this magnificant lamp measures 67" tall and sits on a 15" round base. Condition: The lamp is in working condition. Though well aged, it shows minimal wear and only light scuff marks and surface scratches. I can see no cracks whatsoever. NOTE: This lamp does not automatically come with the shade in the photo. The shade must be purchased separately, and will incur its own s/h costs. Shipping: Because of weight and size, this item will be shipped via Federal Express, as it is the most dependable and consistently the least expensive of the alternatives.
