This Jackson 's Warranted platter measures approximately 15 inches by 18 inches. It is marked on the back in a cartouche: "View of Newburgh " Jacksons Warranted. The all important central image area measures 8 " by 10 ". The central scene depicts an early scene of Newburgh , NY in the vicinity of the present day South St. with houses, livestock, mountain views of Storm King, and the Hudson River . This platter is illustrated in black on page 31 of Snyder's book Historical Staffordshire American Patriots and Views. This large size platter is in excellent condition: t are no chips, cracks, hairlines, spiders, repairs, or knife cut marks. T is fine overall crazing condition consistent with age. T are some use marks on the back consistent with age, and some very light staining on the back only. Again, considering the age, it is in wonderful condition.
