This elegant Hollywood Regency torchiere lamp is in very good vintage condition. It's brass, with an alabaster or marble disk between the shaft and the base. The disk has a tiny chip on the bottom that you have to look for. There are some white spots in the stone that look like “issues,” but arent. The brass has mellowed nicely; a magnet does not stick to anything but the socket/shade holder. The lamp stands almost 2 feet tall to the top of the shade. But it doesn't have a big “footprint.” The footed base is 5.25” in diameter. It's stamped “Rembrandt 2042.” The footed base has brass “ribbons” garlanded between the legs. (if garlanded is not a word, it should be.) Two of the ribbons are missing their bottom flag. Please see the pictures.
The shade is an old waffle pattern milk glass diffuser shade. It looks to be the original shade. The screws that hold it in are the original hexagonal ones. We found one tiny chip on the shade that you really have to look for.
You can see the on “Rembrandt” tag at the top of the lamp, near the socket. The lamp has an old Fatboy socket. It works, but we always suggest rewiring for safety.
