This beautiful very rare large flirty eyed Ideal Shirley Temple doll is just wonderful. She stands a nice large size of 27 inches tall. She has her nice original mohair wig that is full with ringlets. She has open and close flirty eyes with full lashes. Her flirty eyes are in perfect working condition going from side to side and looking straight ahead. She can be posed in many different ways and is just adorable with all her many expressions. The colored part of the eyeball does show some age as I found some surface chips on the eyeball surface (brown part). This is quite common on these vintage Shirley Temple dolls as most have this as well. A lot of these vintage Shirley Temple dolls have some type of crazing or discoloration, very seldom do you see these vintage dolls with bright clear eyes and if you do its most likely the iris's have been replace at a doll hospital. Which is a common procedure at doll hospitals as this is a problem among older composition dolls. What makes this doll even more special is that she is wearing her original tagged dress and shoes. The tag on her dress is faded due to age, but is still attached to the dress on the outer back waist area, indicating a genuine Shirley Temple dress.
