Large JAPANESE CHAMPLEVE ENAMEL Cloisonne Vase 8.5 Inch Late Meiji Zogan-Jippo (Champleve) Classic Form, Handles Description: Late Meiji Period (1868-1912) zogan-jippo (champleve enamel) Japanese cloisonne vase, the cells formed by indentation of the surface, in this case by casting, marked Made in Japan on the base, dating later than 1893. Condition: In very good condition, with typical pitting and manufacturing related flecks, some lead fracture filling of original casting flaws as is also typical. The patina is original and brighter than most. Comments: Colorful and attractive, in a nice medium size. Shown with other items listed tonight for size comparison.
