A very nice large Makah - Nootka Native Pacific Northwest coast Indian basket measuring 9" in diameter and 5" tall. There are two sea birds over an arrow and two eagles around the edge of the basket. I do not think that this basket ever had a lid because of the rim finish. The basket is in good/fair condition considering its age. I would estimate that the basket was made in the early 1900's, maybe earlier. The artist who made the basket is unknown. This is the largest Makah/Nootka basket I have ever had, and it makes a great display piece. Do not miss this chance to purchase this very nice basket, at a reasonable price, to add to your collection. Shipping costs include tracking and insurance. Thanks for looking!
