This is a large sized Mata Ortiz Textured Black on Black Olla with Exotic Koi fish images by Mario Olivas. The texturing spirals up from the bottom to the top, and the 3 burnished panels in between contain beautifully stylized fish. The jar measures 7.75 inches tall, and 8.5 inches wide. The mouth opening is about 3 inches wide. The jar is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks. It was acquired new, in 2012. It is signed on the bottom by the artist.
