Offered is this exceptional vintage sterling silver pitcher made by Maciel of Mexico City, Mexico. This substantial pitcher is quite large and has an unusual, spheric shape of Spanish, Colonial style. On one side of the pitcher is the profile of a large hand chased Indian with a bird headdress (condor?). On the other side of the pitcher is a very detailed Aztec design. The design of both scenes is wonderfully crisp. The pitcher measures 11" high and 9" from handle to spout and is VERY heavy at 48 troy ounces, or over 3 pounds. I would date the pitcher to the 1950's or 1960's. Other than a few minor imperfections throughout, it is in great, original condition. Please also visit my Ebay store, Yankee Silver Shop, for more great sterling and jewelry items: www./Yankeesilvershop .
