Renowned industrial designer, Michael Lax - Cast Aluminum bowl. Lax, now deceased (1999), was truly a pioneer in 1960's modern designand is credited with introducing enamel to cast iron.He designed for Dansk, Rosenthal, Salton & Dunbar Glass. Line is called Metaal and this was produced by Grainware. I believe Metaal was one of Lax's last design projects. This particular bowl is dated 1987 and marked # 6014.It is quite large measuring 16" x 10.25" x 6"and weighs over 4lbs.No damage per se however their are markings on the metal from use. When I say "markings" I mean little nicks and scratches from items beingplaced in, and removed from the bowl as well as surface marks on the bottom.Aging and wear conducive to the bowl's 23 year age.
