This old Navaho Indian rug measures approximately 74" x 52" and features concentric stepped crosses with an interesting center design element. The colors are dark brown, white, red, orangish brown, and carded gray on a beautifully variegated light brown ground. Handspun wool. EXCELLENT plus condition with no apologies necessary. Please note that 3 corners and 3 tassels have been professionally restored as have small portions of perimeter cord. The weaving has been cleaned (10/2013) and comes from a smoke free home. Hangs/lays flat. Both sides are pictured. Lazy lines throughout. c. 2nd quarter of the 20th Century. 6' 2" x 4' 4". This gorgeous Navajo textile displays beautifully on the floor, the wall, over furniture, and in any number of other creative ways. A weaver's pathway, or spirit line, completes the weaving. NO reserve. Please note that the rug is fairly heavy at between 10 and 11 pounds in the box. No Reserve. Please email with any questions or requests for additional pictures. PayPal ships immediately.
