Large Old 2-Handled Brass Vase With Coat Of Arms

This auction includes a 13" tall 2-handled brass vase which, according to what I was told by the seller, had been passed down from a former generation and been in their family "forever". I'm not sure how long that is as I'm a novice when it comes to identifying many antiques.
A coat of arms appears on the face of the vase and measures slightly more than 2" square. It depicts a 2-headed mythical creature with the body of an eagle and heads of a crowned lion. It is surrounded by a scattering of shields containing various emblems or symbols and is perched on a branch resembling a dangling fleur-de-lis. As you can see from the photos, the metal on the shoulder of the vase appears to have oxidized and has lost it's slightly mirrored patina and looks more like bronze. And t are several corrosion spots and dings. Please Note: The red splotchs that appear in several photos are strictly from a reflection. So, if you are seeking a metal vase that looks really "ancient" - this auction might appeal to you. TERMS OF PURCHASE THESE ARE EASY......
