This is a large manly blacksmith hammer which is also a collectable. I believe this is either a creasing or cutting hammer. This is in very good to excellent condition, very clean and very lightly used. Hammer is well marked and was a Pennsylvania Railroad hammer. It will be a great item for display or to be put back into service. These railroad hammers are getting hard to find and one in this condition is very hard to find. Description as follows: Hammer head is 10 ½" long, overall length is 18" and total weight is 6 pounds, with the handle. It is well marked on the top and the bottom. Top marks - the large letter "C", the logo of what appears to be a badge with a large letter "H" inside and the logo of a Keystone with "PRR" inside, which stands for Pennsylvania Railroad. Bottom marks - L012 and 548. The PRR stamp is not real deep but it is visible (see photo). I have a low starting bid and no reserve on this hammer, but it will be sold "as is".Watch my other listings for Atha, Heller & other blacksmith hammers that I will be listing in the future.Buyer InformationOn items I sell I try to provide as much descriptive and photographic information on condition and what it is you are buying as my space and knowledge will allow.
