This is a charming Plichta Pottery large pig decorated with handpainted thistles in the style of Wemyss. The decoration is extremely well painted and appears all over the animal. There are a series of holes all over the body which suggest it being a hatpin holder. This is a larger example measuring 9" long and x 5" high. It is great condition with feint all over age related crazing.
