LARGE PRESENTATION BOWL TANE JPG MEXICAN STERLING 1953 offered today by We've been finding collectors Great Buys Since 1952 6 years on eBay! This is a fabulous piece for both Tane Sterling and Dachshund collectors! You are bidding on a large Tane Sterling Presentation Bowl for WAGS W.K.A. 1959 The WKA Wags Memorial trophy is from a Dachshund Club, I believe it is for the class "Best of the Opposite Sex" from what I found in my research. This piece is made by Tane , a prestigious silver company in Mexico City. The design of the bowl is true to the Tane style. The molded rim has deep circular form, similar to Chippendale style, with a circular foot. When you look inside the bowl it would appear to be that t are dents, but they are not flaws, this is from the hammering during creation, as they are uniform throughout. When this piece was created, it was a couple of years before Tane's rapid expansion in the 1960's. Tiffany & Co. worked with Tane in the 1960's providing technical guidance. This is how Tane earned the nickname the "The Tiffany's of Mexico" for their high level of quality and design.
