A LARGE PRISTiNE OVAL 9CT ROSE GOLD EDWARDIAN LOCKET WITH PRETTY PATERNED EDGES A LARGE PRISTiNE OVAL 9CT ROSE GOLD EDWARDIAN LOCKET WITH PRETTY PATERNED EDGES DIMENSIONS: HEIGHT = 43 MM (INCLUDING TOP BAIL) WIDTH AT WIDEST = 25 MM CHUNKY DEPTH OF = 6 MM Remember 25.4 mm = 1 inch CONDITION: IT’S IN SUPERB CONDITION THROUGHOUT THIS IS A EDWARDIAN ANTIQUE GOLD LOCKET OF GENEROUS PREPORTIONS, A REAL ‘EYE CATCHING’ ITEM OF ANTIQUE JEWELLERY (See 5 Pence set in inset picture for comparisons). The front of the locket has a raised rounded central area with gorgeous floral and foliate patterning with a small vacant shield shaped cartouche to the bottom right. The edge of this locket has an attractive raised embossed patterning. The locket has a 'moustache ' shaped top with a gold top holding ring with an aperture of 4.8 mm. The reverse of the locket follows the same format except here the central area has no cartouche but at the base are the gold markings '9ct Gold Back & Front'. This locket is that lovely mellow rose gold only found in jewellery items from the years bordering the turning of the last century (not today's brash pink rose gold).
