Large Qin Dynasty Walking Battle Horse & Rider Allen's Antiques Ltd 10 DAY AUCTION DESCRIPTION: A magnificent large ancient Chinese painted pottery model of a battle horse & rider (soldier), dating to the Qin Dynasty circa 2,200 years ago. From terracotta colored pottery over which a creamy white base color was painted, this horse has been beautifully molded as though walking.Traces of its red painted reins, and black painted mane and tail remain. The seated rider is wearing a square black hat, his hands clasped around a tall pommel. See photos. This rare artifact was originally listed on our Allens Antiques website store for $2,060.00. We are now having a massive clearance sale and offering this item with NO RESERVE! SIZE: 328mm (13.12 inches) high x 350mm (14 inches) long.
