Hello and greetings from Joshua Tree Imports. Our brick and mortar store is located in beautiful downtown Lakeville, Indiana. About This AuctionThis auction is for a naturally colored carved butterfly cabochon from Jalisco, Mexico. It measures 3 inches long and weighs 172 grams. This one has very nice subtle tones of gold, yellow, purple, blue and green. It's made from naturally formed rainbow obsidian volcanic glass. The halo butterfly shape is within the stone itself, formed by the brightly colored iridescent bands of pyroxene characteristic of this species of obsidian. One of most beautiful minerals to come out of the Earth. The butterfly shines and glows from within as you view it in direct strong light. A lovely object made from beautiful material.
