A beautiful raw piece of unsearched Mexican amber with deep green tones. This stone weighs 60.8 grams and is a quality piece of amber from Simojovel, Chiapas. This amber would be perfect for jewelry, fossil hunting, or for use as a small carving piece. Please have a look at the photos and feel free to ask questions. As a special bonus, I will include 25 additional grams of raw amber, the same pieces shown in the photo. Mexican amber is between 22-26 million years old, dating from the Miocene to Oligocene Epochs, and is derived from the Hymenaea tree - the same responsible for the amber deposits in the Dominican Republic. However, unlike Dominican amber, this amber is slightly harder and exhibits a richer range of color. Please note, I am currently in Mexico, not in Kentucky as stated in the auction. Since I am , shipping will be slightly more expensive than normal. Two shipping options.
