**The ornate Schmidt Festive Chest is filled with German Lebkuchen cookies and released prior to Christmas annually. The design of the chest is different each year but they are always interesting and beautiful. The chests are dated on the bottom and have become a collector's item.This lovely embossed Schmidt Festive chest is dated 2011. The top and sides of the chest are decorated with richly colored and detailed scenes of old Nuremberg Germany/Nuremberg Castle. The lid is hinged. The 2011 chest is 16.5 inches long, 11.5 inches wide and 7 inches tall. The large size makes the chest great for storage - and so attractive too! The chest is from my personal collection and it is in overall excellent condition. There is some very slight discoloration on the back inside panel (as seen in photo 8).**Note: No cookies.
