This is one of the largest sonora chime clocks that seth thomas made. Rarely do you see this clock with 5 bells. The clock is 18" high X 12" wide X 8 1/4" deep. A large clock. Concave bevel glass is 8 1/2" diameter with a 7 1/2" diameter dial. All original including the finish. Mahogany case and just below the dial is w a brass plaque was mounted but never engraved. The blank brass plaque and old 4 brass nails come with the clock. If you look at the picture you can see w the plaque has been for many years. Both movements and the 5 bells have been ultrasonic cleaned. Movements oiled and are in good running order. Sounds wonderful. Keeps time. Strikes the westminster as it should, 4 notes for the 1/4 hour. 8 notes on the half etc. Strikes the 5th bell for the hour count. Photo of the bottom shows the old paper sticker with the patent date of feb. 18, 1908 The case has a couple of minor bumps but its overall excellent. See the photos. Back door has a slight edge loss to the door, left edge by the door knob, but is hard to see and has no effect. The loss by the door edge is very old as the wood has darken. If you want a nice 5 bell huge sonora clock, this is the one. And its been cleaned and in great working order. Comes with old pendulum and a newer key. Large heavy clock-- shipping and insurance to the lower 48 states to be $38.00 Excellent clock shipper. May need adjusting after shipping. Payment: Cashier check or money order.
