Being offered for auction is a beautiful and impressive vase by the Correia Art Glass Studio of Santa Monica, California. It dates from 1986, making it a relatively early work. This is one of their larger pieces, measuring just under a foot tall, at 11 5/8". The diameter of the vase at its widest point is 6 3/4", and the neck flares out to form an opening 3 1/4" across. The color of the vase is a wonderful frosted translucent teal blue. Overlaid onto the body of the vase is a lovely silver pulled feather pattern, repeated four times around the circumference of the vase. The neck and mouth of the vase exhibit some iridescence, in shades of gold and amethyst. The vase is free of any damage or flaws, in excellent condition, especially for an earlier piece -- now 25 years old. It is signed on the bottom "Correia", and marked with the registration code "VXLBZ(?)Q-1-86-10". There are four felt pads on the bottom, as well as a paper sticker from the original retailer, Howick's Fine Gifts & Jewelry, of Sherman Oaks, California.
