Rare Signed Stevens & Williams Enameled Centerpiece VaseRaise your sights here folks, this is an unbelievable piece of Stevens & Williams enameled art glass!Large centerpiece vase in smokey amber glass, with lightly iridescent applied blue glass rim, feet, and ornamental decorations. Each side of the vase features a large applied lion head pruent over a 19 point sun ray burst! The ends of the vase are further embellished with applied blue lightly iridescent feathered wing like glass decorations. The rim is applied with lightly iridescent tooled blue glass, as are the four applied feet.The vase is enameled with polychrome raised enamel s featuring a Japanesque flowering vine floral decor around the entire vase. The main front of the vase features a large griffin facing a bird in flight. The GRIFFIN is straddling a scrolling feather design in flat gold and platinum metallic enamels. I've never seen anything like this before, it's an exquisite piece of Victorian opulence.The vase has a large polished pontil, and is signed within the pontil with a Stevens & Williams circular mark that reads "S. & W. Stourbridge" as shown in the photos. Near one of the legs, it's also enameled in gold with some numbers that are probably a decorator mark (see photos).In good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age, some minor wear to
