Beautiful Silver and Blue Miraculous Medal on 24" Stainless steel neckchain This is a brand new nickel silver medal is made in Italy. A cut-out style with the spaces filled in with a deep ocean blue resin - a bit darker than shown in the pictures. It is such a pretty blue which you can see through if you hold it up to the light. The medal is a nice larger size - about 1 1/4" tall and 3/4" wide, and oval in shape. Blue is considered Our Lady's color, so this is a very traditional way of enhancing the Miraculous Medal. It really is quite beautiful. The back of this medal is blank. There have been so many miracles associated with this medal since it was first created in the year 1830 that is has come to be called the Miraculous Medal. The powerful prayer that surrounds the figure of Our Lady is, on this medal, inscribed in English. "Oh Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee". The year 1830 is at the foot of the medal.
